Tree Dedication to WO2 Sean Upton

Posted 28/07/15

On Monday 27th July 2009 WO2 Sean Upton made the ultimate sacrifice whilst on patrol in the Sangin District of Helmand Province Afghanistan. He died as the result of an explosion whilst on foot patrol.

Sean was serving with 53 Battery RA, part of 5th Regiment Royal Artillery at the time.

As a mark of respect to our fellow brother we dedicated a tree to his memory

at the National Memorial Arboretum on Saturday 11th July 2015

This was well attended by the Veterans and serving Regiment of the Royal Artillery. It was a moving ceremony and shows to true mark of respect given to our fallen!
