ROYAL ARTILLERY ASSOCIATION SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE SATURDAY 6th July 2019 NATIONAL MEMORIAL ARBORETUM  

The Royal Artillery Association will conduct a Service of Remembrance at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas on Saturday 6th July 2019 commencing at 1200 hrs. 

The detailed timings and events are listed below.    

1. 1100 hrs Arrival of guests     

2. 1100-1130 hrs Refreshments – Tea/Coffee/Biscuits Visitor’s Centre Under own arrangements

3. 1100 hrs Standard Bearer’s briefing - Outside Aspects Centre RASM/ Mr J Young  

4. 1115 hrs Standards form up - Inspection Outside Aspects Centre RASM/ Mr J Young  

5. 1130 hrs Guests are asked to make their way to the Aspects Centre 

6. 1140 hrs Congregation to be seated 

7. 1200 hrs Service begins 

8. 1245 hrs Guests move to the Memorial Garden    

9.   Once guests clear, Standards make their way to the rear of the garden   RASM/ Mr J Young  

10. 1255 hrs Wreath Laying Ceremony begins Memorial Garden    

11. 1315 hrs Lunch under own arrangements Visitors Centre    

12. 1400 hrs Band Performance in Visitor Centre Courtyard

Following the Service in the marquee there will be a short wreath laying service at the Royal Artillery Memorial Garden. 

Branches and individuals are very welcome to lay their own wreaths during this service.    

DIRECTIONS The Arboretum is situated in the centre of England on Croxall Road, Alrewas in Staffordshire. It is easy to reach from any part of the country and is close to all the Midlands motorways.

Those wishing to claim the subsidy should apply with their invoice to the Membership Office by 3rd August 2019.
