RA Ceremony of Remembrance
The Annual Ceremony of Remembrance will take place at the Royal Artillery Memorial, Hyde Park Corner on Sunday 14th November 2021, with 5th Regiment Royal Artillery, King's Troop RHA and the RA Band on parade.
All are welcome to attend, anyone wishing to attend is requested to contact SO2 Regt Pol - firstname.lastname@example.org or 01980 845929 to book seats as they are limited. If attending, you are requested to be seated by 1030 hrs, it is anticipated that the Service will conclude at 1145 hrs. The preferred dress for the congregation is civilian clothes with hat, overcoat and medals. It is an open air service and you are advised to dress accordingly.
RAA Standard Bearers are to report to Wellington Arch by 1000 hrs for a briefing by the RASM.
RAA Branch wreath bearers are asked to assemble at the East Side of Wellington Arch by 1030 hrs with their wreaths. Individuals who wish to lay wreaths can do so after the Service.
Westminster Council, who own the ground on which the Ceremony will take place, have issued the following advice for those travelling to the event:
Take a Lateral Flow Test the day before, do not travel if positive.
If feeling unwell, do not travel.
Transport for London have a policy that masks MUST be worn when travelling on their vehicles/trains/underground.
Where possible get your Flu inoculation as well as COVID inoculations.
Try not to gather in large groups, stay dispersed.
When meeting people, if you must shake hands, use hand sanitiser.
Whilst an outdoor event, the biggest risk is aerosol transmission, so keep your distance.
Above all we would welcome your attendance to show respect to all those of the Royal Regiment who have given their lives in Service.
