SAVE THE DATE - THURSDAY 17TH FEBRUARY 2022
The day is set to hold 7 races of which the feature race is the Royal Artillery Gold Cup. This is one of Sandown Park’s oldest races having been first run here in 1878. It has been run at the racecourse every season since 1921 apart from the last couple of years due to COVID. The race is restricted to horses that are owned or have been leased by those who are serving or have served in the Royal Artillery or one of its recognized Establishments or Units. The jockeys must be amateurs and either past or existing members of any of the Armed Forces, making the race unique in every sense.
Gates open at approximately 11.30am. Tickets are on sale and be sure to book in advance, entrance tickets* are available using the promotional code 'UBIQUE' through the Sandown website or 0344 579 3012. For further information contact WO2 RABSM Webber on 01980 845 620.
*To access Esher Hall and benefit from reduced bar prices you will need to purchase the entrance ticket and wrist band by opting for the 'Adult Tickets Plus Wristband' option.
We hope that serving and retired members of the Regiment will join us in Esher Hall, which has good access onto the Grandstand with an excellant view of the racecourse.
Important Information: Please refer to the website regarding COVID Measures in place at the time of the event.
