 unlike pronto I do not think there is too much emphasis on the Serving Regiment 

Jock, I wasn't having a go as such! It's just that when I logged in for the very first time, at first glance I couldn't see anywhere to post my congratulations. All the categories were serving Regiments! As the core of this Assoiation is the Branches and most of them are composed solely of veterans, I felt, sadly, underrepresented :-

I do understand and concur with you that the future lifeblood of the Association lies with the serving members but we mustn't ignore the present membership.

Sarah, some "smilies" (emoticons) would be nice. They go a long way help to lessen the impact of the written word!
