The Regimental Family has had a busy Summer....

Posted 08/09/17

It has been a great summer (apart from the weather) for the Regimental Family. We have been following our social and from all the great posts it seems that you have all been very busy and making the most of your holidays!  There have been reunions, events and some epic fundraising challenges from both the regiments and individuals.

The Royal Regiment might have been stood down for most of August but our veterans and their families certainly kept themselves busy. We have picked up some of our faviourite moments below but you can catch up with much more news on our social media and our branches Facebook pages.

The Honourable Artillery Company marked 480 years to the day since the HAC received its Royal Charter from Henry VIII

Clive Boyles MSM from our Rhondda Branch of the RAA visited Kuala Lumpur

for the 60th Independence Day Parade representing The Royal Artillery

In true ‘Ubique’ fashion we even have an ex Royal Artillery officer in the

Great British Bake Off.  We are all hoping she can bake her way to glory!

The Wave and Weeping Window, by artist Paul Cummins were on display at the main war memorial on Plymouth Hoe

which is the home of 29 Commando Regiment RA who are based at the Royal Citadel.

Many people visited the WW1 display with trench system at the Great Dorset Steam Fair with the Royal Artillery leading the charge!

We now move forward into the remembrance season and will have members of the Regimental Family at the Field of Remembrance, Cenotaph Parade and out own Service at the Hyde Park Memorial.  We hope to see many of you at these events to help us remember those who gave so much.
