Today we remember and celebrate the life of Mark “Tubby” Wheeler (1968–2026).
Tubby was a soldier, a mate, a devoted partner to Nadine, and a friend to countless others. He served with distinction in both the British Royal Artillery and the Royal Regiment of Australian Artillery, including operational service during the first Gulf War and deployments around the world. His loyalty, courage, and quiet humour left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.
A lifelong Leicester City fan, Tubby brought the same passion and commitment to life, friendship, and service as he did to the battlefield. He will be remembered for his integrity, his camaraderie, and the unwavering support he gave to those around him.
Though he has left us, his legacy endures in the lives he touched. He will be profoundly missed, never forgotten.
