With the ability to experiment with different scenarios, the final grade calculator encourage students to set realistic goals and work towards achieving them with confidence.

To calculate your final percentage in a course, follow these steps:

  1. Determine your grades: Collect all of your grades for assignments, tests, quizzes, projects, and any other assessments that contribute to your final grade.

  2. Assign weights: Determine the weight or percentage value of each graded component. For example, if tests are worth 40% of your final grade and assignments are worth 60%, assign those weights accordingly.

  3. Convert grades to decimals: Convert each of your grades to decimals on a 0-1 scale. For example, if you scored 85% on a test, divide 85 by 100 to get 0.85.

  4. Calculate weighted scores: Multiply each decimal grade by its corresponding weight percentage. For example, if you scored 0.85 on a test worth 40%, the weighted score would be 0.85 * 0.40 = 0.34.

  5. Add up the weighted scores: Sum up all of the weighted scores from step 4 to get your overall weighted score.

  6. Convert to percentage: Multiply your overall weighted score by 100 to convert it back to a percentage.

For example:

  • Test score (40% weight): 85% = 0.85 * 0.40 = 0.34
  • Assignment score (60% weight): 92% = 0.92 * 0.60 = 0.552
  • Overall weighted score: 0.34 + 0.552 = 0.892
  • Final percentage: 0.892 * 100 = 89.2%

So, your final percentage in the course would be 89.2%.
